Taking up Pope Francis’ desire “that all Christians come to appreciate the close connection between Christ’s love and His summons to care for the poor,” Pope Leo XIV issues his first Apostolic Exhortation, “Dilexi te,” as a call to Christ’s disciples “to recognize him in the poor and the suffering.” Read more.

Leo’s First Papal Document, on Poverty, Is Expected to Be Released Oct. 9. The document was initially drafted during the final months of Pope Francis’ pontificate, but Pope Leo has revised the final text, according to Vatican sources.

The Diocese of Saint Thomas celebrated a Requiem Mass for Bishop Herbert A. Bevard on September 30, 2025, at Saints Peter and Paul Cathedral. The liturgy honored his legacy of pastoral service and deep love for the Virgin Islands. Bishop Bevard passed away on September 20, 2025, and was laid to rest following a funeral Mass in Philadelphia. Click to read more.
