2015 March for Life on St. Croix The St. Croix Rally for Life took place on Sunday, March 15, 2015. The events started at the Strand in Frederiksted at 4 p.m. A canopied speaker's platform was set up on the waterfront. There were two visiting cruise ships docked at the pier for the day. While at the Strand, inspirational music was played and hymns were song. Witness talks were given by Bishop Herbert Bevard, Fr. Patrick Lynch, C.Ss.R., Fr. Eduardo Ortiz-Santiago, Sr. Lovey Reyes, I.C.M. and others. In attendance were parishioneers and parish groups from the parishes on St. Croix and students and school groups from the Catholic schools on St. Croix. Around 5 p.m., all assembled for a rosary procession and March for Life to St. Patrick's Church where Mass was celebrated by Bishop Herbert Bevard accompanied by priests from the parishes on St. Croix. /photoalbums/photos-from-2011-2016/r4lstx15.jpg _parent

March for Life, Washington, DC , January 2012 hirty Virgin Islanders, most of them youth, traveled to Washington, DC to participate in the National March for Life. Pictured right, Fr. Christmas 2011 in Fredensborg Bishop Herbert Bevard celebrated Christmas Mass under sunny skies for about 60 Spanish-speaking residents of Fredensborg on St. Croix. Fredensborg is a community that was destroyed by Hurricane Hugo in 1989 and re-emerged in recent years by squatters who could not find homes elsewhere on the island. The Religious of the Good Shepherd, who organize the annual evet, set up a makeshift altar (shown at the right) in a lot littered with abandoned cars.
