African Catholic Community in the United States and the Diocese of St. Thomas to Celebrate Milestone Anniversaries of Most Reverend Jerome Feudjio
ST. THOMAS, U.S. VIRGIN ISLANDS – March 16, 2026
The African Catholic community in the United States has announced plans to organize a celebratory gathering in Washington, D.C., in honor of the Most Reverend Jerome Feudjio, Bishop of the Diocese of St. Thomas in the United States Virgin Islands and Episcopal Liaison to African Catholics of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB). The celebration will commemorate the 70th anniversary of his birth and the fifth anniversary of his episcopal ordination.
The Washington celebration is being organized by African Catholics residing in the United States, in conjunction with the National Association of African Catholics in the United States (NAACUS) and the African Conference of Catholic Clergy and Religious in the United States (ACCCRUS). It will take place on Friday, April 17, 2026, at 6:30 p.m., at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 11007 Montgomery Road, Beltsville, Maryland, 20705.
The gathering will be an expression of gratitude for Bishop Feudjio’s pastoral ministry and his enduring engagement with African Catholic communities across the diaspora. Clergy, religious, lay faithful, and invited guests are expected to come together for prayer, thanksgiving, and fraternal celebration.
